• Check out these golden snub-nosed monkeys. They are totally cute, yo.


• Here's a trailer for a movie called Rubber, which is about a sentient tire that kills people. I couldn't quite fit this one into my Philly Film Fest schedule; I'm regretting that now.


• Thor versus Jaws! Awesome.


• Can't say I'm too thrilled by this first image from the movie version of X-Men: First Class. But I will withhold judgment for now. (Angel's a woman now? With the what?)


• A large gallery of concept art for the animated "Tale of the Three Brothers" sequence from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.


• A Katamari Damacy-inspired episode of Laugh-Out-Loud Cats.


• The crew of the Enterprise tests experimental acid drive technology.


• Mattel is putting out a set of Hot Wheels called Video Racers with built-in point-of-view digital video cameras. You can play back the video on a small screen on the bottom of the car, and/or copy it to your computer via USB. Crazy!


• Mario versus Guile.


• George Lucas told Seth Rogen he sincerely believes the world is going to end in 2012. Rogen naturally concluded Lucas must have a spaceship ready to take him off Earth when the time comes.


• Here's an interesting list: the 5 best and the 5 worst Sundance purchases. In this context, "best" and "worst" are referring to the sale price compared to the eventual box office take. The fact that Son of Rambow is on the "worst" list makes me sad. I really liked that movie!


• Entertainment Tonight got some revealing footage from the set of Sherlock Holmes 2, and also interviewed the film's stars. Be warned: the video starts automatically as soon as you get to the page.


• Here's a collection of some great postwar West German sci-fi magazine covers.


• You probably already heard about the awful flooding they've been dealing with in Australia, but did you hear they also have to worry about sharks swimming in the streets?!? Among other sightings, a couple bull sharks were spotted going by a McDonalds. That's messed up. (Via)


• Scandal! (Also, big Harry Potter spoiler alert.) They changed Snape's death scene in Deathly Hallows Part 2! But it's cool, don't freak out. They just changed the setting. And they got Jo's blessing. So it's all good. Whew.
