- Aww, yeah. It's on, baby. Freddy vs. Jason vs. Michael (Michael Myers, that is, from the Halloween series)! Yes, this movie is apparently actually going to get made! The author of the Cinematical article is really down on the whole idea, but I think it's great. I enjoyed Freddy vs. Jason for what it was, and I'd love to see Michael get mixed up in it. Finally, we'll be able to answer that age-old question, so oft asked: Who Would Win in a Fight??
- Check out this awesome video of a real transformer (scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the picture)! It starts as a little car driving around, then turns into a robot, takes a little walk, and turns back into a car. Totally awesome. (Via Digg)
- They found some more carbon in a Martian meteorite, and this time it's almost certainly not contamination from Earth. This increases the chances that there was once, and maybe even still is, life on Mars. Dude. (Via Digg)
- A 13-minute clip of Lady Vengeance (third in Park Chan-wook's vengeance trilogy, after Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and Oldboy) is available for free as a podcast on the iTunes Music Store. Not sure why it's a podcast instead of just a one-time video download, but whatever. The point is, go forth and download, my friends! You better believe it's on its way to my Video iPod right now. - It's those Japanese again! This time they've created a real 3D image projector! Check this out:
The images are created by blasting the nitrogen and oxygen in the air at fixed points resulting in glowing plasma emissions which hang-out just long enough to etch an ephemeral image. The 3D images are, gulp, accompanied by a series of satisfying "tiny explosions" from the expanding air. That's pretty fricking awesome, I think. (Via Digg)
