Update
 by Fëanor

-Guitar Hero - Only one song left on Hard now, and it's the real doozie: "Bark at the Moon." I got stuck on "No One Knows" for a long time, but then practically breezed through everything else (well, sort of) until "Bark," which is just brutal. I haven't got further than 35% through it, if I remember correctly.

Until now I've been playing by always strumming the strum bar down with my thumb; I'm thinking I'm going to have to change my whole style and start strumming up and down, with the bar between my index finger and thumb. I think only playing that way will I be able to go fast enough to hit all those notes. I've started to teach myself this new way of playing, and it's not quite as hard as learning to play all over again, but it nearly is.

Still haven't got the hang of hammer ons and pull offs yet, either; might need to learn that as well before I can do "Bark" successfully. We'll see.

I've gone back and cleaned up a lot of my bad old performances on lower difficulty levels. I've now got five stars on all Easy songs, and I'm starting to work on getting all my Medium performances up to five, as well. The only thing I haven't unlocked on Medium yet is the Ziggy Stardust-type character.

-Just went on Amazon and bought myself a DS Lite. Bam. Just like that. We're going to Vegas this next weekend coming up and hanging out with a friend of Sarah's, and hopefully I'll have the DS in time for the plane flight. Should take my mind off of the pure terror a little bit. Now I just need to find a copy of New Super Mario Bros. for a reasonable price.

-Trying to make a data cd full of mp3s on my PC that my brother can use on his Mac. Is this possible? I thought it would just work if I made it the way I always do, but it turns out this is not correct. I'm going to dig into the options and help index on my software (Easy CD Creator), but I'm not all that optimistic about finding something useful... UPDATE: I actually managed to figure this out, it looks like, so no technical support needed, thanks folks!

-Anybody want to go with me to a preview screening of Superman Returns on Monday at the Ritz 5? It starts at 7:30, but I'd want to get there early - like 7 at the latest. It'll be packed, I'm sure. Oh, and it's free.
