Turns out I desperately need an "upbeat songs" playlist on my iPod. I'm going to have to get to work on that. Also, the latest episode of "Battlestar Galactica" and Bruce Springsteen's Intimate Night bootleg - two of the most recent items I added to my iPod to distract myself - are NOT exactly real "uppers," as it were. Watching the vampire movie Near Dark - another recent add to the 'pod - is, however, quite comforting, it being just the kind of thing Star enjoyed.
I wrote this for Phillyist, and I don't think I have it in me to write anything else about it all right now.
So, expect more reviews of graphic novels from me in the near future!
