Scary Stuff
 by Fëanor

Last night, I attended TrackerNeil's Halloween party, which is always a lot of fun. You can find the pictures here (hopefully you can't tell that I took some of them with my evil wizard mask on). Also included in that group of photos are a couple of shots from the party I went to afterward. (I hope nobody minds that I used actual names--when I knew them--instead of online names in the photo captions. It just seemed to make more sense.)

Before heading off to Neil's, I met up with Sarcasmo, Vis Major, mouserobot and Alex and we checked out the beginning of the Spiral Q Puppet Theater's Dracula Parade, which was pretty neat. Photos of that event are here. We were complimented on our costumes and asked to join the parade a couple of times, but we gracefully declined. Actually, I think I was included in the compliments simply because I was standing with everybody else. I was only wearing one part of my costume at the parade (my cape), because the mask was too constrictive and uncomfortable to have on for any long period of time, and carrying the cane around and trying to take pictures at the same time would have been really awkward.

In fact, I didn't wear my costume much at all last night. Nobody could hear what I was saying with the mask on, and the unseasonable heat didn't make things any better. Ah, well. Anyway, everybody else looked fabulous, as you can see from the pictures. Sarcasmo was elegant, Vis Major glamorous, mouserobot pun-ariffic, and Alex meow-tastic. TrackerNeil's costume, though I couldn't identify it without help, was really cool. And his brother Sean's costume was just fantastic. Sean was also the nicest demon I've ever met, as he was gracious enough to keep driving back and forth from the house to the Wallgreen's by the El station to pick us all up. Other stand-out costumes included Sean's girlfriend's Wonder Woman outfit and babyraven's totally punk rock Vyvyan costume.

Today I spent recovering from yesterday--all the travelling and partying and staying up really late and eating horrible foodstuffs of all sorts. Of course, I also spent a few hours watching the Eagles achieve another close victory against the Baltimore Ravens, thus remaining undefeated this season, and achieving their best start in franchise history--7 and 0. Exciting stuff.

Sadly, however, I myself am not very exciting today. I'm still tired out from this week and am not very inspired, so I'll call it quits for now. Later, everybody.
