New releases
All-Star Batman and Robin #8
The ridiculousness continues! It will be interesting to see which happens first: Miller and Lee do something with this comic that's so outrageous and awful that I finally drop it, or they stop doing the comic altogether.
The Authority: Prime #2
Since I read the first issue of this series, my dislike of author Christos Gage has slowly festered into near hatred. But I'm not dropping an Authority comic unless it gets seriously, seriously bad.
Batman #671
Another week, and another issue in the Ra's al Ghul storyline! But this one is by an actually really talented comic author, so I'm feeling more confident about it than I have about the others.
Blue Beetle #21
More fun and frolicking with the Beetle! Well, okay, it isn't all fun and frolicking; last issue they killed somebody off. But still. Good times!
X-Men: First Class #6
And more fun and frolicking with the original X-Team, too! Yay!
Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash #2
Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on #1 this week, too, otherwise this one will just have to sit unread in my comics box.
Moon Knight Annual
I believe this is the last book in this series by the current creative team, then it gets a big overhaul and comes back all different next year. Should be interesting to see if I can understand this issue on my first read-through, or if I'll have to go over it two or three times before I really get it, like last time.
Superman/Batman #43
I don't normally collect this book, but this issue is a one-shot by my boys Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, who do Nova, so I'm making an exception.
Usagi Yojimbo #107
A new issue of the best bunny samurai comic I know of! Admittedly, it's also the only bunny samurai comic I know of, but still.
World War Hulk: Front Line #6
I believe this is the actual final World War Hulk tie-in issue, which should mark the end of WWH proper. Of course, soon there will be all the spin-off series, follow-up series, and hardcover and TPB collections. But, you know, besides all that, it's totally over and done with now. |
