Vidjeo Games
 by Fëanor

The other day, poppy was playing the PS2 and the left control stick on our wireless controller broke. I took a look at it and decided, what the hell, I'm going to bust this thing open and see if I can fix it! After I unscrewed the controller and pulled it apart, I found that the small piece of plastic that the control stick fits into had snapped apart. I tried as best I could to glue it back together with super glue, nearly gluing my fingers together in the process. I didn't do a perfect job - I couldn't get the broken off plastic bit to go all the way down and over into the correct position - but I thought I might have done well enough to get the thing working again. So I let it dry overnight, and this morning I put it all back together again and tested it out on a game of We Love Katamari. And what the hell do you know! It worked! I was pretty proud of myself. Until I went out to run an errand and came back to find that the thing had broken again while poppy was playing with it. D'oh. I was afraid of that. Ah, well. My short stint as a PS2 repairman is now over. We'll just have to do things the old fashioned way and buy a new controller.
