On the Viewer - Fringe (Season 2, Episode 13 - "The Bishop Revival")
 by Fëanor

Spoilers ahoy!

Another intriguing and horrific opening, this time at a Jewish wedding.

Why in God's name did Peter let Walter drive??

Peter: "You know, Walter, tuxedo styles change."
Walter: "Nonsense! Purple never goes out of style."

I'm surprised there wasn't more worry about contagion, given what happened last episode, and given how so many people at the wedding died of the same thing in quick succession.

Uh oh. I wonder if this is going to have to do with Nazi medical experiments on Holocaust victims...

Yep!

Walter says this is going to happen again, and we cut to a Mom and her cute little daughter at a coffee shop. Argh!

Last time he targeted people in the same family; now people with brown eyes.

Nazi killer dude says Dr. Bishop looks just like his father. Wha??

I love that Walter has the Clapper installed in his lab.

Walter's father was a Nazi scientist! But actually he was a spy for the Allies. Which actually fits in with stuff I already read in the Fringe comic book prequel. The toxin they're dealing with was designed by Walter's Dad. The Bishops! What a family!

Peter sold his grandfather's books, which contained all his secret knowledge, and this might be how evil Nazi guy got the information he needed to do what he's doing. Not good! Worse, Peter didn't sell the books for money; he sold them to hurt his father.

More breaking and entering by Peter! He's really got to stop doing that. Inadmissable evidence anybody?

Nazi dude is over 100 years old - and didn't get the information on the toxin from the books. Hmm...

Nazi dude fashioned a new version of the toxin to attack one specific target: Walter Bishop. Nasty.

Oh jeez. He's hitting the annual meeting of the World Tolerance Initiative. Almost too appropriate.

Most awesome climax ever! Walter turned the killer's toxin right back on him. He made his own version that targeted only the killer, and poured it out into the air at the conference. Touche! So fantastic.

Walter: "Family is very important to me. There's nothing I wouldn't do..."
Uh huh.

I knew the killer was going to show up in one of those old pictures. How the hell did he make himself ageless?? Disturbing!

Wow, great episode! A look into the deeper past of the Bishop family, and a look into the deeper workings of Walter's mind. Plus, Walter took out the killer in the most bad-ass way possible.
