iTunes can also tell your fortune!
 by Fëanor

Via Sarcasmo. For this meme, just put your favorite music player on shuffle, and take the song titles in the order they play as answers to the following questions. I'm pretty proud of the awesome mix of songs I ended up with, and overall I think my fortune is looking pretty sunny:

What do you think of me, iTunes?
"Speedway" - The Counting Crows
...well, the title isn't very illuminating here, so let's look at the song itself. Hmm, typical Crows fare. I guess iTunes thinks I'm depressed, whiny, and generally angsty. Sigh.

Will I have a happy life?
"Your Favorite Thing" - Sugar
Sounds like the chances are good!

What do my friends really think of me?
"Aged Dolls" - ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead
Well, screw you guys! I'm getting new friends! (Great song, though. I love AYWKUbtToD!)

Do people secretly lust after me?
"The National Anthem" (live) - Radiohead
That's not a very good answer, iTunes. Although, in the song they do say that "everyone is so near...it's holding on" and then they ask that "everybody get down tonight" (at least, I think that's what he's saying) so maybe this is a "yes?"

How can I make myself happy?
"It's Christmas! Let's Be Glad" - Sufjan Stevens
So, either I should just "be glad" (not very helpful, iTunes), or I should wait until Christmas, and that will make me happy.

What should I do with my life?
"Breadcrumb Trail" - Slint
I should lay down a breadcrumb trail? That's kind of depressing. The song, however, is about a kind of awkward and impulsive date at a carnival, so maybe it means I should be impulsive and follow my heart?

Why must life be so full of pain?
"Owner of a Lonely Heart" - Yes
Life is full of pain, if you're the owner of a lonely heart. But it's even more full of pain if you're the owner of a broken heart. Ah, the wisdom of Yes.

How can I maximize my pleasure during sex?
"Friend To Friend In Endtime" - Lungfish
With the what now? I should be friends till the end with my lover? Sounds like a good plan.

Will I ever have children?
"Joy Jam" - Minutemen
I'm not sure how to take that. Is that the joy of having loving children, or the joy of never having to deal with the ungrateful little buggers? It doesn't help that the song has no lyrics.

Will I die happy?
"Puttin' on the Ritz" - Taco
Apparently I will! Or at least stylishly.

Can you give me some advice?
"They Stood Up For Love" - Live
Seems pretty straightforward. I'm standing up for you, poppy! Although, you might prefer that I just sit down next to you instead.

What do you think happiness is?
"(I Can't Seem To) Make You Mine" - The Clientele
Happiness is...not getting what you want? I think you're a little confused, iTunes. Either that, or very profound.

What’s my favourite fetish?
"Sowing the Seeds of Love" - Tears for Fears
Ummm...is that a euphemism I don't know? From the euphemism generator, maybe?
