Monsters of Various Sorts
 by Fëanor

  • Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon prequel?! Well, as of now Ang is just thinking about it. But you better believe I'd be lined up for this one.

  • Download Squad posted a link to this neat Italian game, Kreta. The story is, you're Ariadne in the Labyrinth trying to save Theseus. He's a chump and just stands there. All you have to do is get to him, and he'll immediately escape (though he'll scream and yell about it - lol). The tricky part is avoiding the Minotaur, and then getting to the exit yourself. Each turn, you get to play a card, and then the Minotaur (played by the computer) gets to play a card; most cards let you move ahead a certain number of spaces, but some let you inhibit your opponent in some way, give you special abilities, or allow you to heal some impediment that's been placed on you. The game is a little too dependent on chance for my taste (sometimes it's just impossible to get away from that damn Minotaur), but it's still quite fun and addictive. I thought I'd just play until I beat it, but now that I've beaten it, I kind of want to play again...

  • Cinematical's source might be right when he says that the trailer for the American remake of Pulse swiped a shot from the trailer for the original movie, but I think the more important thing to note when comparing these two trailers is that the one for the original movie (if you can get it to run) is about a million times scarier and more effective than the one for the remake.
