Brunchicles, Volume Two
 by Fëanor

  • Producer Frank Marshall's next project is The Bourne Ultimatum, but immediately after that, he promises that work on the fourth Indiana Jones film will finally begin. Yay! After Indy 4 comes Jurassic Park 4, about which I am decidedly less enthused, but who knows, it could be good. Sadly, Marshall says that there will be no further Gremlins or Back to the Future movies. But still, Indy 4 is coming! Yay!

  • Somebody on Digg found a weird Easter Egg in PHP. Just add ?=PHPE9568F36-D428-11d2-A769-00AA001ACF42 to the end of any PHP link and you get a little picture of a dog. Here's an example using our blog's home page.

  • I think I posted Joystiq's original article on this guy; anyway, here's a follow-up on a stunningly talented blind gamer. He's apparently on his way to Japan to compete against some of the best Mortal Kombat players they've got there. Good luck to him!

  • This control pad from AlphaGrip looks almost surreally complex, but is apparently a real product and not a parody. I guess it could be pretty cool once you figured out how to use it, but I'm betting the learning curve is pretty much a flat vertical cliff-face.

  • This TaskInfo thing sounds like it might be pretty handy. It keeps a close track of all the processes running on your system and gives you tons of information about them. I don't know what half the processes are running on my Windows machines at work and at home, which has always bugged me, so I'm tempted to download this and see if it can figure them out...

  • Digg has a link to an online test to discover if you are borderline Autistic. I got an above average score (25 - most men score about 17), which doesn't totally surprise me. Check it out yourself.

  • The film version of Where the Wild Things Are, which, crazily enough, has a Maurice Sendak-approved screenplay co-written by Spike Jonze (who apparently is also going to direct) and David Eggers (!!), has fallen into Warner Bros. hands and should get underway some time this year. Exciting stuff! I'm not sure how you put together a whole movie from this story, but if anybody can do it, Spike Jonze can. Looking forward to it.
