Glimmers of Insanity
 by Fëanor

  • This catalogue advertising Nintendo gear from 1990 would by itself be amusing to look at, but, as you'll quickly realize if you start to examine it, Bill's claim that he did not alter the pages in any way is a bald-faced lie, and his captions add a whole other layer of humor to the thing. Some of his comments are perhaps more wrong than is strictly necessary, but still funny. Enjoy! (Via Digg)

  • Speaking of Nintendo, the word now is that the Revolution will be out before Thanksgiving. So there will be reason to give thanks, indeed.

  • Ever wonder what all those damn charges are on your monthly cell phone bill? Well, turns out one of them is to pay for the war...the Spanish-American War, to be exact. Yeah, I think maybe we should get that off of there. (Originally via Digg...although Digg seems to be down right now, so I dug the story up again, via Google News this time)

  • Aw, Shatner finally got that kidney stone sold, isn't that sweet? The ultimate purchaser was buyer of freakish and pointless items extraordinaire, GoldenPalace.com, and they took it for a cool $25,000. It's less than he was shooting for, and less than I thought he could get, but, let's face it, still more than he should have got, if the world were a sane place. Apparently Shatner actually suggested the stone could be put in a ring and worn on the finger. *shiver*
