One of the things I did this weekend in Rehoboth, after spending $100 at the CD store and grabbing some boardwalk pizza to go (oh, joy!) was sit down and watch the great majority of Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away. I usually love Miyazaki's work, but for whatever reason the first time I saw this movie I was a bit underwhelmed and disappointed. Well, this time was different. I reveled in it. The animation is absolutely beautiful and wondrous, and the fantastic fairy tale story is entertaining and moving. Top notch stuff. |
