A weekend for thanks indeed |
by Fëanor |
Due to the kindness of my friends Ever Mike and Sarcasmo, a Wii is now in my possession. I give many thanks to them both. I had a bit of a busy day and evening, and didn't get to play around with it all that much, but I did explore a good portion of Wii Sports, enough to know that it's a pretty fun set of mini-games. Baseball is definitely the hardest - timing your swing to when the ball is coming over the plate is quite difficult. Tennis is also a bit tricky. I enjoyed bowling and boxing the best, I think. I definitely want to do more boxing. They should have recreated Mike Tyson's Punch-out but with the Wii Boxing controls.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to trying out Red Steel and Zelda (the two other games I picked up), but I don't feel like I can do it just now. I've got some caffeine in me, so I'm not all that tired, but one drawback of the Wii is that it's not a system I feel too comfortable playing late at night. It's hard to be quiet and discreet when you have to jump around the room and listen for the sounds coming out of the TV and the controller in your hand.
But tomorrow is another day; there's still most of a weekend left - or Wiikend, I should say. :) |
