I thought my life was busy before, but I've realized in the past couple of weeks that I didn't know what busy was. And the film festival hasn't even started yet!
So, yeah, not much blogging here for a while yet. And probably you won't see me much, either, unless we're going to the same movies/events.
But despite all that, I did finally find time to watch the season finale of Battlestar Galactica. My immediate reaction was, "WHA??!?" Now that I've got a little more distance on it, my more complete reaction is, "OH MY GOD."

I was afraid I knew what that music meant when it first started going. In fact, I could have sworn five people were hearing it. But maybe I'm just remembering wrong. I might have to watch the episode again. But anyway, the point is... really? They're...cylons? Two of my favorite characters are cylons?! You bastards! (For the record, the two I'm talking about are Tigh and the Chief.) And...that song? I mean, good choice, but... And...how about that shot of Earth at the end! Is that Earth circa now, or is it in the deep, deep future, or what? And...Starbuck? How?! Is she the fifth cylon like I thought, or is something crazier going on?
Good lord.
One complaint with the episode, though. The court case. It was a little... I don't know. Lame? Lee's impassioned speech = not so great. |
