On the Viewer - G.I. Joe: Resolute (Episodes 4 and 5)
 by Fëanor

Episode 4 features Cobra Commander telling his minions it's going to be different this time. This time they're going to succeed! Also, "There will be none of your crap!" Ha!

Gotta love Dial Tone, the cute young tech geek girl. She figures out another element of Cobra's evil plan, and a few more missions are launched to try to fight back. Meanwhile, they've now introduced the Baroness and Destro! Good stuff.

Episode 5, to my great joy, brings us back to the hardcore, bad-ass ninja fight. Most of the episode is a fascinating flashback that explains the backstory between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. I love that there's a secret death move called the Seventh Step to the Sun. It's like the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique! I also love the argument over it that takes place between Storm Shadow and his uncle, because it reveals so clearly the essential and important difference between Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes as characters. Storm Shadow's uncle tells him: "Do you really believe I have nothing to teach but death? Violence is a burden to him. To you it is less than air." Refused the secret knowledge, Storm Shadow has his uncle assassinated. Snake Eyes strikes him, thus beginning a vendetta between them. Now it's time to continue their duel! Awesome.

This series continues to be quite fantastic. I'll keep an eye out for the next episodes.
