On the Viewer - FlashForward (Episode 2, "White to Play") |
by Fëanor |
Well, Olivia's first meeting with Lloyd sure was awkward! Interestingly, it seems as if he didn't see her during his flashforward.
Man, this dialog sure is corny. Why is dude so embarrassed to tell everyone he was on the toilet? It's no big deal! Heh. He mentioned Twitter. But yeah, generally the toilet humor is not working for me.
Man, I really hate Di Gibbons. But the fact that her name's on the wall probably means she's going to be important. Sigh.
Mark is already pissed at Olivia for her possible future unfaithfulness. Ouch!
Noh met another lady who didn't have a vision. Maybe he can calm down now. Unless the lady dies in this episode.
"Suspect Zero." Good code name.
Bryce: "There's a gift in the knowing." Says you!
Can't believe Noh is still trying to claim that the future visions don't mean anything. Uh, almost everybody on the planet had them! And they connect to and confirm each other!
Mark goes into the doll factory only because he saw a doll in his vision. We're falling into the old time travel paradox of the self-fulfilling prophecy.
Di Gibbons: "He who foresees calamities suffers them twice over." Wow. Dude had a nice trap set here, and lots of queer technology lying about. Hmm...
Cop died, just like I thought she would. D'oh.
They've already figured out what Di Gibbons was doing with his computers, even though they must've been mostly destroyed in the explosion? That seems unlikely.
Oh jeez. Nick Drake on the soundtrack during the montage.
Di Gibbons was talking to Suspect Zero during the blackout. At least two people were awake. And yet it seems as if Di Gibbons has also been investigating who could have caused the blackouts, so how could he be responsible?
I like the subplot about the website where everyone can post their future visions.
Uh... shouldn't they check those cupcakes for poison? I mean, just in case.
Ugh! The dialog is so bad sometimes. "At home, here, with you, I'm praying it doesn't."
Oh, but I like that he burned the friendship bracelet.
A woman calls Noh and tells him the date he'll be murdered. That'll blow your mind.
Mark and Olivia are lying through their teeth to their kid. I mean I know it's important to comfort her, and the occasional white lie is necessary, but jeez! Anyway, turns out the kid knows Di Gibbons, and knows that he's a very bad man. Nice, creepy ending.
I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to stick with this show. It's definitely intriguing, but there's some pretty bad dialog and acting, and I'm beginning to get the feeling it's just going to keep stringing me along without ever really getting anywhere. |
