- That video up there is an utterly ridiculous, random, and stupid redub of some scenes from an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The first time I watched it I thought it was just dumb. Then I ended up watching it again for some reason and it totally cracked me up. See how you feel about it. (Via)

- The time and stars are right for... Santa Cthulhu.
- DC is starting a new line of comics set on Earth One where they can retell and update the stories of their flagship characters. First up are Superman: Earth One by J. Michael Straczynski and Shane Davis, and Batman: Earth One by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank. It seems like DC is retelling Superman's story every other week, and I've been really disappointed by pretty much every comic I've ever read by JMS. But Batman doesn't get the reboot nearly as often, and although I'm a bit tired of Geoff Johns at this point, I love Gary Frank, and he and Johns have done some amazing work together. So the Batman book at least could be worth a look.
- Peter Jackson confirms that the two Hobbit movies will both be based entirely on the book, and they won't be making up some kind of bridging film out of whole cloth. Whew. Also, rumor has it Tom Waits might get a role in one or both of the movies. I can't imagine who he'd play (maybe the Elven King??), but I love the idea.
- Hilarious video about the uncaring God that reigns over each game of Tetris.
- Positive review of Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Yay!
- Fun Star Wars links: amazing Star Wars LEGO photography, and plush Tusken Raider.
