- See above for a mesmerizing montage of hyper space scenes from films (via). If you can name all the movies, you're a nerd! I believe I saw Star Wars, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Tron, Stargate, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Contact, and Dune. - Weaponized and armored strollers. We'll have to put one of these on the registry. Griffin will need one in the upcoming, inevitable post-apocalypse.
- Laurence Fishburne has joined the cast of Predators as a Yoda-type dude who uses his Zen-like abilities to survive among the Predators on a deadly hunting planet. Awesome!

- The movie based on Warren Ellis' Red now has a release date: October 22nd.
- The trailer for the next - and, supposedly, last - Shrek film: Shrek Forever After. Looks pretty cute. I don't think I even got around to seeing the third one yet, though.
- Sad news: sci-fi/horror screenwriter Dan O'Bannon has died. (Via)
