Homework for this week |
by poppy |
I am so beyond pissed off about the recent turns the Schiavo case has taken that I don't think I can articulate very much about it. I have, however, made a commitment to put down my advance directive in writing and make feanor do the same. I have also already told my mother that if she tries to get funny and challenge any part of that directive that I will come back from the ether and kick her ass.
If anyone else is feeling the need, I found a good "toolkit" from the American Bar Association. It is a bit scary and icky, but better to think about it now I suppose. (And by the way, can any of you lawyer types explain this whole "next friend" business? I'm not too keen on the idea that my wishes can be challenged after I am no longer able to defend them.) |
