Recyclotron |
by Fëanor |
Fëanor pours the entire internet into the Recyclotron, and only the best links come out the other end for you to enjoy.
- Above, the trailer for Julie Taymor's The Tempest. As one might expect, it looks amazing. Great cast, stunning visuals. Can't wait! (Via)
- Monster art.
- Ronald D. Moore's next TV project could be a reboot of Wild Wild West.
- Darren Aronofsky has been offered Wolverine 2. That would be awesome. Interestingly, he wasn't offered Superman because the studio needs to make a movie fast and figured Aronofsky, being a perfectionist, would take too long, especially since the script is apparently a mess. I believe the latest news is that Zack Snyder has been given Superman instead. Ugh. Sounds like we're headed for another terrible Superman movie.
- Ridley Scott is producing a 4-part miniseries adaptation of Philip K. Dick's alternate history novel The Man in the High Castle for the BBC.
- A fun deleted scene from Dollhouse. The goggles do nothing!
- Eerie and evocative paintings by Joe Vollan.
- More awesome Tron designs at Threadless. I particularly like the one called 1982.
- I enjoy these excerpts from a talk Guillermo del Toro gave, especially his comments on writing, and the bit about how he's building a room in his house where it rains continually so he can always write in a thunderstorm.
- I keep reading conflicting things about Ghostbusters 3, but the latest update, direct from Dan Aykroyd, is that he's working on the script, and it includes a great role for Bill Murray, if he can be convinced to take it.
- Sam Raimi will direct a prequel to The Wizard of Oz called Oz: The Great and Powerful, and Robert Downey Jr. is in negotiations to play the title character. I haven't been a fan of Raimi for some time, but I have to admit RDJ as Oz is a pretty enticing concept.
