Nemo: Found |
by Fëanor |
I spent the first 1/2-2/3 of Finding Nemo unmoved and annoyed by it. It just wasn't working for me. I didn't think it was funny, and I found myself unable to believe in its anthropomorphized world of sea creatures (even though I was totally okay with the anthropomorphized world of toys in the Toy Story movies). I also found the characters kind of dull and irritating.
I spent the last 1/2-1/3 of the film laughing uproariously, crying, and marvelling in quiet awe at the artistry and realism of its visuals.
Final verdict: a great and entertaining film, with a wonderful message that's transmitted in quite a lovely fashion. Another bulls-eye for Pixar--they have yet to make a bad film, as far as I know. |
