- More good Luc Besson news! (For those late tuning into our program, the previous good Luc Besson news was that he might be directing the next installment in the Die Hard franchise.) His futuristic thriller District 13 has been picked up for American distribution! Now, all I have to hear is "Luc Besson" and "futuristic thriller" and I'm hooked on this one, but for those of you who might need to hear more for some reason: the film is supposed to be set in France in 2010 and is about an ex-con and an undercover cop infiltrating a gang in order to defuse a neutron bomb. Yeah, yeah, whatever. Luc Besson! Futuristic thriller!
- I don't know how to feel about this Tristan and Isolde trailer (via The Movie Blog). But I'm leaning towards a negative kind of feeling. It just looks so...typical.
- Speaking of trailers, you can find one for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest if you follow this link, then click "The MOVIE" (I'd give you the direct link, but the cursed site uses Flash to link to things instead of honest old HTML). As Brunton at The Movie Blog points out - rather irascibly, I might add - the trailer is tiny, but it's still viewable. Anyway, the first one of these was surprisingly good, and by the looks of the trailer, this one will be just as fun and funny. But we'll see...
