You heard it here first!
Last night driving home from Philly, poppy and I heard "Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover" on the radio. So naturally when I woke up this morning, the song was still in my head. As I often do when a song is stuck in my head, I began replacing the words with other words. This naturally led to "Damn I Wish I Was Your Glover." I immediately decided that Glover in this case obviously referred to Danny Glover, which meant the song was now about wanting to be the Danny Glover to someone's Mel Gibson, and thus it was an homage to Lethal Weapon. Of course all the lyrics would have to be changed to fit this new theme, and the resulting new song would have to be sung as the soundtrack to a YouTube video made up of clips from the Lethal Weapon movies.
I'm tempted to actually try to make this a reality, but I'd have to learn how to write lyrics, how to sing, how to capture video, how to edit video, how to sync audio with video, and of course find the time and energy to do all this. So instead, someone else can do it. But if you make it big based on my idea (I'm not sure how you could, but go with me here), I will expect payment in the form of many large piles of cold, hard cash. And/or cheeseburgers. |
