A Quick One
 by Fëanor

-Received the external hard drive I ordered from Amazon yesterday. Sweet! Now I can back up my precious, precious iPod. I'm down to almost less than a Gig left on my iPod, btw. I'm going to have to start deleting the less important stuff - like the episodes of Lost that I've already watched, and some of the crappier music, and some of the duplicate songs I ended up with. Of course, now that I'm almost out of space, they release movies and games for your iPod. Damn it! Of course, they also released the 80GB iPod. Hmm...

-Saw The Illusionist last weekend, btw. It was not a great movie, but it was good. The screenplay could definitely have used some work. The opening sequence that tells the backstory of Edward Norton's character is superlame and corny and cliche. Poor boy falls in love with rich daughter of the aristocracy, and alas! their love cannot be! They are torn apart by unfeeling society! Etc. Blah. Also, I knew at least the general outlines of the trick ending practically from the beginning of the movie. Still, it was definitely a fun film, with some good acting, some cool camera effects, and some rather clever scenes (the sword trick where Ed totally makes a fool out of Rufus is particularly good). I'd say it's worth a viewing, though you could wait for the rental.

I still have high hopes for the next packed-to-the-gills-with-stars period magician fantasy mystery thriller, The Prestige.

Okay, better get back to work now. More later, perhaps...
