METAL |
by Fëanor |
Been listening to all the Iron Maiden Yagathai sent my way, and I like it, but it's not exactly what I wanted; it's not the kind of ideal metal I had in my mind. I guess because it's power metal, and power metal is not exactly my favorite. But it turns out I already had what is essentially my ideal heavy metal: Slayer!! I downloaded an album by these guys called God Hates Us All a while back, and the first time I started listening to it, I was kind of turned off by it - because it's completely and totally EVIL. But listening to it again, I love it. It is incredibly brutal and screamy and loud and fast and driving and exactly what I want in my metal.
Well, maybe not exactly. I could use more sci fi/fantasy elements and less god-hating, but still. Close enough!
UPDATE: A lot of Slayer in a row, however, is a bit tiring. Woo. I think I need to listen to some Katrina & the Waves now or something.
UPDATE 2: Seriously, though, Slayer is awesome. I'm very excited. |
