New releases
Amazing Spider-Man #541
I'm not so sure about this book - kind of melodramatic and dark and not what I'm looking for in Spider-Man - but I'm going to give it at least one more chance before I drop it.
Captain America #27
They don't appear to be bringing him back from the dead yet, but his buddies are still dealing with the aftermath of his death.
Catwoman #68
She's a cat! She's a woman! There's two of her! The family of one of them is in danger! There're Russians involved! Fighting and violence will ensue!
Batman: Ego and Other Tails
Thanks to New Frontier, I am now officially a huge fan of Darwyn Cooke, so when I saw he had a Batman collection out this week, I marked it down on the list immediately.
Hedge Knight II: Sworn Sword #1
George R. R. Martin + comic books = geekgasm. I'm there with bells on. Plus, I already own Hedge Knight in trade format, so obviously I need the sequel.
Annihilation Conquest: Prologue #1
X-Men: Endangered Species #1
I'm not sure about either of these books. Each is the start of a new, gigantic, epic cross-over series that will change everything you've ever known about blah, blah, blah. It's an old trick to make me buy more books. But those tricks tend to work on me. And after all, I'm already collecting Astonishing X-Men, which will be a part of the Endangered Species storyline, and Nova, which will be a part of the Annihilation Conquest storyline. So, maybe I should at least read these opening titles, just to see...
Ghost Rider #12
Heroes for Hire #11
Incredible Hulk #107
Iron Man #19
World War Hulk is making a tour of the Marvel universe this week, with tie-in issues appearing in four different series. And you know I have to get them all now.

Yes, you counted right, that's 11 books this week. I'm hoping when I get to the store I will be able to come to my senses and not actually purchase all of these, because it's really kind of out of control. |
