Pretty much since I started this whole comic book collecting hobby, I've been trying to find a good online resource that would tell me what comics were coming out this week, what day they were coming out, and a little bit of information about each one (author, artist, plot summary). And it's been surprisingly hard. For a while I was visiting each publisher's website in turn, but while DC, Marvel, and Dark Horse have detailed, constantly updated lists with lots of information, they don't really mention exact release dates. And a lot of the other publishers either don't list their releases at all, don't update them enough, or organize things in such a way that it's nearly impossible to dig through the site to get to the information I need. Plus, every once in a while some random comic I was interested in would be put out by a publisher I hadn't heard of or whose website I forgot to check, and I'd miss out on the book.
Anyway, I think I've finally found the resource I've been looking for, and it's ComicList.com. This site, while rather busy and poorly formatted, seems to have all the information I want in one convenient spot: it's updated frequently, it has author/artist/plot info on most books, it has the exact release date each week, and it lists literally everything coming out from every tiny little publisher, even including merchandise. Good stuff. |
