I just finally got around to watching the latest entry in my favorite new series, and I think it might be the best episode yet. As Charley works to save Reese from the injuries he sustained last episode, Reese flashes back to the future, and we get to see some pretty damn fascinating details about his life there, his mission, how he was sent back in time, how they reprogram the Terminators, and how it can go horribly wrong - and we even get to see a little bit of his brother, Kyle Reese, and a recreation of the photograph of Sarah from the first movie. In the present, Charley learns the truth about Sarah and the future - to a certain extent, at least - and has a very creepy run-in with the very creepy Cameron, who is looking more and more untrustworthy.
This episode is just fantastic. Completely riveting, exciting, and intriguing, and it takes the story and the characters in some interesting new directions. And I am continually impressed at how well and faithfully they are inserting this story into the already existing Terminator mythos. Ending this episode by quoting my favorite line from the first Terminator certainly didn't hurt. This is definitely my favorite show on TV right now. Can't wait for tomorrow night's episode! |
