| Mirkwood - The Poster for the Rock Festival |

So, I was walking the dog this morning, and I saw a squirrel. Not an odd occurrence. But for some reason, this time, maybe because it was distant and shadowy, it made me think of the black squirrels of Mirkwood. Then I thought, Black Squirrels could be a band name. Then, somehow in my mind this whole concept came together about a Mirkwood rock festival, along with the text that would appear on the poster for said festival and everything. I come up with weird ideas like this every once in a while, and usually I don't act on them, but this time I decided, what the hell. So I spent hours flipping through The Hobbit doing research (damn, I love that book) and crafting the band names and so forth, and now I offer you the result. Below is a thumbnail of a graphic I created for a poster for Mirkwood, the rock festival. Click it to see the full version. It could definitely be better (my skills in Photoshop are limited indeed), but I at least find it amusing. Hopefully it will amuse some of you, as well.
