Well Holy Crap |

The Eagles are going to the NFC championship game.
That they made it to the playoffs at all was a miracle. That they're still in it, and only one win away from the freaking Super Bowl, is just madness.
But they played a tough, knock down, drag out game with the Giants today and came out the decisive victors. On offense they had to struggle for every yard and every point, but they got enough. And the defense was just incredible, holding the Giants to zero touchdowns and only eleven points, picking off a few crucial interceptions, and making some incredible stands on third and fourth downs. It's pretty awesome too that this was the first game in NFL history to end with a score of 23-11.
It's a little disappointing that McNabb had to be a jerk at the end of one play and pick up a phone on the Giants sideline, mocking them, but that aside I'm really proud of our birds.
Can we beat the Cardinals in their home stadium next Sunday? It's hard to say. It's a miracle that team made it this far, too. And we beat them pretty decisively earlier this year. But they're looking pretty hot now, and our guys have got to be really tired and beat up after this brutal game. We'll see what happens. Go Eagles! |
