On the Viewer - Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Episode 11, "Dooku Captured")
 by Fëanor

This episode opens with Anakin already sitting in a Separatist prison, having allowed himself to be captured as part of a plan to capture Dooku. My "live-blogged" thoughts on the show:

What's with Obi-Wan not saving anybody else in the Separatist prison? What happened to the enemy of my enemy is my friend?

Bit of a continuity issue: When Anakin met Dooku in the opening of Episode III, they were talking like it was the first time they'd met since the end of Episode II. But that's not the case, according to this series.

Love the way the battle droid is freaked out when Dooku suddenly drops in from his escape hatch.

Wow, pirates! They even have a parrot! Okay, it's just a cousin of Salacious Crumb, but it's colored like a parrot.

I've gotta say, I'm finding the repartee between Anakin and Obi-Wan more annoying than charming. The guy who does Obi-Wan's voice is really getting on my nerves. He always sounds so smug.

Huh. So that's a gundark? I thought I remembered fighting one of those in a Star Wars video game, but this doesn't look familiar...

Jeez, what's with the pirates cruising around in an old school flying saucer? That's a little silly. But the pirate leader is surprisingly clever.

Ugh. Listening to Obi-Wan and Anakin lie to Ahsoka to try to save face is really pretty disgusting. I guess it's supposed to be funny, but it's mostly just pathetic. Why are these two supposedly wise and great Jedi Generals such blithering idiots?

And now they're complaining about having to go meet the pirates unarmed. Uh, a Jedi is never unarmed, guys! You have superhuman strength and telekinetic powers! I think you'll be all right.

And now they're gloating over Dooku being imprisoned! Not a very Jedi-like thing to do.

If Dooku was trying to talk up the pirates and how dangerous they are to the Jedi, why did he say it was most important that they were stupid? That doesn't make them sound very threatening...

Oh great, they're putting Jar-Jar on the case. He's just who I'd choose to deliver an important ransom to treacherous pirates for the Sith lord who's also the leader of the Separatist forces. Sigh.

Our Jedi are staying at the pirate hideout for a banquet, where they're watching a table dance. Wow. At least they were smart enough to expect poison and switch glasses.

That was a pretty poor episode! I stuck in there for the story, which remains interesting, but the main characters vary from dull to actively annoying, and the dialogue is pretty terrible. And now it looks like the next episode will star Jar-Jar again. Hoo boy.
