The adventure continues |
by poppy |
So I had another interview today, which was so utterly different than my one last week that I wanted to jump up and kiss my prospective boss. This library was tiny, and was filled with warm smiling people. True, smiling people can be nasty, but at least then they'd be clever (enough to hide their disdain at least); some of the people I work with now barely bother to open their eyes or speak in complete sentences. Anyways, really good interview, but not so confident about my chances, mostly because this whole young with no experience trip has been a bit of an albatross. I'm considering baking cookies for them, but I don't want to seem too desperate... yet. I also just got a call for a phone interview; I will be called tomorrow at 11 o'clock. This feels weird to me. I usually try to be a charmer in interviews, and I am not very good on the phone. It will be an adventure. The position is a temporary one in the library of a college "south of the Philadelphia area." So, um, which one will that be? The staffing agency running it is out of NYC, so I can't even count on someone looking at my address and saying, no f-ing way someone is driving that far everyday. Sigh. An adventure. |
