Spoilers ahoy!
Why is Cameron trying to reason with a bird?
Okay, this is a bad sign. She was going to let the bird go, but then killed it anyway. Is her basic "kill" programming overriding her other programming again?
This is a house where it's really not that odd to find a large bloodstain on the floor.
Heh. Sarah should make Riley clean up her own bloodstain. "You made this mess! Get to work!"
Jesse and Derek have an... interesting relationship. It's also really fascinating that he's asking her when Judgment Day occurred in her timeline, to see if it was a different day. She refuses to answer, but the idea is pretty mind-bending.
Cameron: "You've been distracted."
Sarah: "I was kidnapped."
Cameron: "Which is distracting."
Sarah's going to go talk to Riley's foster parents?! I'm not sure I even want to see that.
Ah! Cameron's cutting her own wrist open! Very disturbing. Oh, she's trying to troubleshoot the bird-crushing incident. That's pretty funny. Uh oh - Riley was nearby. The truth about her past (that being the future) is definitely going to come out soon.
John to Cameron: "You're not designed to fight other machines." Huh. Good point.
Cameron's been secretly keeping spare Terminator parts, at the behest of future John. Interesting...
Jesse is one cold, hard mammajamma. She tries to be comforting by telling Riley, "I won't let anyone hurt you," but c'mon, how can she back that up? Especially when Riley's been hurting herself lately!
As I suspected, the meeting between Sarah and Riley's foster parents did not go well. Cool moment: Sarah learns about Riley's freak out, and her mentioning the world being burned and covered with bleached skulls.
John: "Are you all fixed?"
Cameron: "I don't know."
Yeah. Pretty much.
Cameron tells John he's ahead of schedule with what he needs to learn. Fascinating.
Jesse is the guidance counselor?! Hoo boy. This is getting really dangerous now. Heh. Jesse's trying to mask her accent, too. It's cute.
Cameron assumes Derek will have to kill the guy John is trying to find for him. John says he doesn't think that'll be necessary. Cameron: "It's going to be necessary. I'll make you a sandwich." John: "Wait, why?" Cameron: "You're hungry." Heh.
Hmmm... did Cameron have John fix her arm as part of a training exercise? That's creepy.
Well, Jesse and Riley's secret is safe for now; Sarah thinks Riley's bleached skulls thing came from stuff John has been telling her. But John knows that's not true... I like Sarah's line, "I want you to prepare yourself for what Cameron will do when she finds out."
Uh oh, the Department of Child and Family Services is here! Did Jesse sick them on Sarah? Or was it the foster Dad? And now Riley has to sit out in the shed with the Terminator whom she suspects wants to kill her! Should be fun!
Cameron's killing hand is twitching!
Okay, could seriously be time to dig a pit, throw Cameron in it, and set her on fire. A killing machine that's not sure what it will do or when it will kill is not a good thing to have around!
John gave you the chance to come clean, Riley, and you blew it! Of course, he also isn't telling her the truth...
Big showdown between Riley and Jesse. Riley has figured out Jesse's real plan, and way before I did. So twisted. I think Jesse might be even more screwed up than Riley. Also, it was interesting when Riley said she loved Jesse. I'd been sensing that, but having it said out loud makes this fight even more intense and dramatic. And the outcome... just brutal. I mean, Riley's been dancing on the edge of death since she was introduced as a character, but for her to go out like that... Sure ruins Jesse's plans! Unless she can somehow make it look like Cameron killed her... She's got a limited time to set that up, though, as Derek is no doubt headed to her place right now to find out why the hell she didn't show up for his ambush!
And after all that, we get to see Cameron present John with a button that will kill her. Jesus!
John: "What would future John do now?"
Cameron: "Future John doesn't live here. You do."
True that.
Well, another fantastic episode. Tense, unforgiving, moving, exciting. I can't believe this show is in danger of being canceled. It's easily one of the best things on television right now. |
