Pink haired meme part two |
by poppy |
Feanor insists he's curious, but I really can't see why. I'm not really into music the way he seems to be. Like most other things in my life, I pick something I like and listen to it and nothing else (except for bad pop music on the radio) for days on end. I also tend to pick foods and eat nothing else for days on end. I'm a stranger, what can I say.
1. Total amount of music files on your computer?
30. Really. No, really. Shut up.
2. The last CD you bought
I really don't remember. I haven't much lately. I think it was probably a putumayo cd, since I can't have music with lyrics I understand playing when I read, and I've been reading alot.
3. The last song you listened to before reading this (warning: I'm linking to some lyrics sites, which are notorious for nasty little things like spyware, and annoying things like popups. I think these are pretty clean, but who knows how good zone alarm is. If you don't have a popup blocker, don't bother. Oh, and I'm not taking any responsibility for grammar either.)
Fall behind me by The Donnas. I like to listen to it when I'm pissed off.
4. Name 5 songs you listen to often or that mean a lot to you
I'm one of these people who says, Omigod this is my favorite song ever, like 10 times a day. But some perennial favorites.
Shimmer by Throwing Muses
I like it anytime because I like Throwing Muses anytime, but it's especially good when I'm feeling righteously angry/indignant.
Englishman in New York by Sting
Cheers me when I'm feeling lonely and/or alone in the world.
Go your own way by Fleetwood Mac
So, everyone makes up soundtracks to the movies that will be made from the novels they have yet to finish writing, right? Um, right? Well, this is on mine. I even have the video worked out, which means I have parts of the screenplay worked out, as well as established preferences as to the apperances of the actors portraying my characters. Shut up.
Sister golden hair by America
Okay, I love America. See, liberals can love America. I don't know about the muskrats, but otherwise they're pretty cool. This song cheers me too, although it's not all together cheerful, and I've dated people who could have serenaded me with it. But that's not the song's fault. And it's got "do wop" in it.
Africa by Toto
Yes, Toto. No, really. Really. Shut up.
5. Who will you pass this stick to (3 people) and why?
I like Erik to do it, but as Feanor pointed out he doesn't have a way to post it really, and he's busy. Most everyone else whose opinion I care to hear/are willing to participate in such an exercise already has, so...
