Recyclotron |
by Fëanor |
Fëanor pours the entire internet into the Recyclotron, and only the best links come out the other end for you to enjoy.
- I've got an informative video for you tonight. See above. (Via)
- Ha! (Via Tom)
- 5 things you don't know about Tron: Legacy. Interesting stuff. And here's an interview with the director.
- A little analysis of Guillermo del Toro's new Double Dare You project for Disney.
- An exciting and very positive review of The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. I really want this movie to be good! I really want to see another great Terry Gilliam film.
- 5 reasons the new Sorcerer's Apprentice might not suck. The last reason is not a reason, it's just an example of Nicolas Cage's insanity. But the others are rather encouraging.
- The sequel to Wolverine is still up in the air, but if all goes well, we could see it as early as next year. I still need to see the first one!
- Josh Hartnett will be playing a post-apocalyptic gunslinger - but not that post-apocalyptic gunslinger. Yeah, I had my hopes up for a minute there. Although Hartnett doesn't seem quite grizzled enough for Roland. Anyway, the part he's playing is the title character in Gunslinger, which is a "unique and startling look at what might happen when the lawlessness of the Old West returns... but with better weapons."
- Very cool illustration of the alien queen.
- 10 unusual playgrounds from around the world. These places look like fun! (Via)
- Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles did quite well at the Tubey Awards. Couldn't have happened to a better show. (Via)
- Fringe is coming back to TV this Thursday!
- Really beautiful architecture and art from François Schuiten.
- Cuteness! And more cuteness!
- Gigantic rubber duckie!
- Dude, magic wand remote control. I WANT ONE.
- This scary-looking Norwegian dude changed his name to Julius Andreas Gimli Arn MacGyver Chewbacka Highlander Elessar-Jankov. I'm all for paying homage to your favorite characters from beloved fictional universes, but sir... you have gone too far.
- Five reasons to see Jennifer's Body. Like you need more than the one!
- Apparently David Lynch did an installation in a department store window. As you might expect, it is weird and creepy. (Via)
- Cool shirts! I particularly like the lighter one.
- Native 3D graphics in HTML??
- A review of Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, starring Nic Cage. Sounds like crazy fun! Here are some pics from the movie.
- National flags made out of appropriate food. Impressive! (Via Jen)
- Cool monster stamps. (Via)
- A beautiful shooting star... made of piss.
- They're updating Star Tours!
- Yet more interesting news on various Disney/Pixar projects.
- An Atari 800 laptop.
- I deeply love these Beatles/Fantastic Four mashup images. (Via)
- Christoph Waltz, who played a villain in Inglourious Basterds (I really need to see that!) may also be playing the villain in The Green Hornet.
- Free music, via Warren Ellis.
- Disturbing, funny, and wildly imaginative homework assignments from the distant future.
- An awesomely bad trailer for an Italian/Spanish rip-off of Road Warrior. (Via)
- One of my favorite Animals with Lightsabers pics yet.
- There are already rumors that Caprica is going to be canceled. It hasn't even started yet!
- Cool chair.
- Evidence of an upcoming Wii price cut?
- Yes, it is true, the Zune HD will play games.
- Dogtooth sounds like a weird and fascinating movie.
- A nice panorama of the Milky Way.
- Demon's Souls sounds like a really fascinating game, wherein dying isn't necessarily a bad thing; it just opens up another phase of the game. Muramasa: The Demon Blade also sounds like fun.
- Is the FBI digging for Jimmy Hoffa? (Via)
- 365 days of stormtrooper photos. (Via)
- An amusing new meme. (Via)
- I shouldn't laugh, but it is kind of funny. (Via)
- James McAvoy and Robin Wright Penn have joined the cast of Robert Redford's film about the aftermath of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
- Five Vertigo comics that need to be turned into movies. Pretty good picks! Although making a movie - or even a series of movies - based on The Invisibles would be almost impossible.
- Sadly, Patrick Swayze has died. I wasn't going to say anything about this, as I don't really have any strong feelings or memories of the man, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to post this tribute to him.
- I love this "Misery Machine" Scooby Doo parody image! (Via)
- A report on DJ Hero, after experiencing it firsthand.
