On the Viewer - Fringe (Season 2, Episode 7 - "Of Human Action")
 by Fëanor

I really like the title of this episode for some reason.

Looks like we got somebody who can control minds again. Or at least bodies.

I am not convinced the dudes with the kid are the kidnappers. I think maybe the kid is the kidnapper.

Walter: "I'm bored. There's no cadavers at this crime scene. Or food."

And there's the Massive Dynamic connection - kid's father works for them. Damn you, Massive Dynamic!!

Woah, Peter and Walter came with Olivia to see Nina! I think that's a first.

Walter is sympathizing pretty strongly with Dr. Carson's obsession with his work and his deep love of his son.

Whoever is controlling things here seems to be selecting the most painful and unlikely ways of hurting people.

C'mon! It's not the used car salesmen! It's the kid who's behind it! It's so obvious!

Walter's mind control blocker: a teddy bear that generates white noise that mimics the sound of being in utero.

Walter: "Once you are given the order to put on the headphones, do not remove them under any circumstances. If you do, you may die a gruesome and horrible death. Thank you for your attention and have a nice day."

Man, I love that this action scene is all done with no sound but the white noise of the womb. So creepy.

Crap, the headphones don't work at all. That's bad.

Puberty + ADD medication + experimental brain wave-enhancer = mind control cocktail.

It's slightly hard to believe that Peter is fighting Tyler's control so much more, and so much more effectively, than the used car salesmen did. But okay.

So, why did the cop pull over Peter and Tyler? As far as I can tell Peter wasn't speeding or anything. Did he have the car's description or something?

This is the second episode in a row where people try to kick Fringe Division off a case, and they ignore the order and stay on the case anyway, with no obvious consequences.

Walter: "I can't lose him again."
Woah! Almost gave your big secret away there, Walter.

Tyler's looking for his mother. Also, a good strip joint. A strip joint where you can get a steak? The hell?

Walter and Astrid are wearing tinfoil hats. Walter: "Oh, this has nothing to do with the case. I don't trust them here. I think they're trying to read my thoughts."

Cool. They're going to shoot the kid with an electromagnetic thought-disrupting ray.

Okay, this scene with Tyler and his Mom is super awkward.

Argh! Broyles is down!

Very cool, very exciting sequence as they finally take Tyler down. Peter risks his own life to stop the kid.

Walter: "Don't be ridiculous. You were abducted. Of course you need crepes!"

Nina's been sending messages to Bell. She tells him, "One of the Tylers did, in fact, display a rather dramatic ability for mind control." Woah, what? One of the Tylers?! Oh, man. This was all a deliberate experiment by Massive Dynamic, involving clones. Guess I should have seen that coming.

Not as good as the previous episode, but still, another fun one with some great ideas. And I really enjoy the dynamic between Peter and Walter.
