- Check out the trailer for Solomon Kane above. I had some reservations about the film, but this video obliterated nearly all of them. Visually the movie is just stunning and incredibly creative, and it also looks like it's going to have some fun dialog and exciting action. Looking forward to it! (Via)
- I'd heard mixed things about the recent animated film adaptation of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, but this video of the first 6 minutes or so is actually really good. I'll have to check this out.
- Brilliant ad for the upcoming vampire movie Daybreakers. I'm really looking forward to this one. It's got a great premise. Also, no sparkling.
- Marvel has announced a new line called "Girl Comics" - comics created entirely by women (although they will not necessarily be mainly about, or directed at, women). As io9 says, sounds a bit gimmicky, but also pretty cool.
- More art inspired by Masters of the Universe.
- I deeply love this huge Marvel/Disney mashup. They even got Squirrel Girl in there!!
- An octopus has been recorded using tools! Specifically, it's lugging around two halves of coconut and using them as a sort of portable suit of armor that it retreats into when threatened. Unconfirmed reports say the octopus will also occasionally bang the two halves of coconut together to make a sound like it's riding a horse.
- A graphic of the new food chain. Study it carefully, for your own health!
- Fun facts about the Large Hadron Collider: it's the largest machine ever built, and the inside is colder than outer space.
- Man, I used to love Inspector Gadget. Here are the characters from the show Simpsonized by Dean over at Springfield Punx.
- Seven kids movies that won't drive you crazy. I should hang onto this list for later! A lot of great picks on here.
