Fëanor pours the entire internet into the Recyclotron, and only the best links come out the other end for you to enjoy.
- Here are two mixed early reviews of M. Night Shyamalan's Last Airbender. More importantly, above you will find a trailer!!! The trailer will also air during the Super Bowl, but you can see it now through the magic of the interwebs. There's no dialog in the trailer, but man, the action and effects look awesome. Fingers crossed! (UPDATE: @cwgabriel points out that 10 seconds into the trailer, you can see Appa at the top left of the screen. Exciting!)
- Some details about Terrence Malick's next film! It'll be a romance starring Christian Bale, Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams, and Olga Kurylenko, and production begins this fall. I'm betting it will also be long and contemplative. But I kid Terrence Malick.
- Ralph McQuarrie's concept art from a Star Trek film project that was scrapped and replaced by Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
- I think I posted this or a similar link before, but it's still a ton of fun: a video compilation of a large number of Alfred Hitchcock's cheeky film cameos. (Via)
- I already own every issue of All-Star Superman, but I might have to buy the Absolute edition when it comes out anyway, just because. Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's All-Star Superman is probably the greatest Superman story ever told, and definitely one of the greatest comic series ever. (Via)
- One of the most terrifying entries yet on Animals With Lightsabers.
- A collection of some of the amazing photos of the planet Earth that astronauts have been tweeting from the International Space Station.
- A wonderful gallery of fantastic Doctor Who props and costumes that the BBC is auctioning off. WANT.
- LEGO wallets! LEGO Batman CubeDude!
- A fascinating infographic about internet usage and demographics.
- Super Punch is running another art contest. This one challenges entrants to replace the third panel of that hilarious Penny Arcade comic about the birds and the bees with something even funnier. This entry is pretty amusing.
- A gallery of the disturbing art of H.R. Giger.
- Physicists have been using quantum entanglement to teleport stuff. Now somebody used it to teleport energy. "There is a growing sense that the properties of the universe are best described not by the laws that govern matter but by the laws that govern information." Woah. (Via)
- I've been seeing ads for a comedy called Cop Out on TV, and I just thought, "Wow, that looks like the same awful cop comedy they've been making for years now. Why did they bother making it again?" I only just realized this is the Kevin Smith movie that was originally called A Couple of Dicks, and that at one point I thought might actually be good. I guess not! You can watch the red-band trailer here, if you want. It has its moments, but... man.
