Recyclotron |
by Fëanor |
Fëanor pours the entire internet into the Recyclotron, and only the best links come out the other end for you to enjoy.
- I'm not really sure how you'd turn the creepy short film Terminus (which you can watch above) into a full-length feature, but apparently Terri Tatchell, co-writer of District 9, is giving it a go. (Via)
- Yet another roundup of toys from the Toy Fair, this time focusing exclusively on Star Wars. What can I say? I like toys! Which is good, because I'll probably be buying a lot of them soon. (Via)
- A survey of the eerie, creature-filled art of Penny Davenport. (Via)
- The first illustration for A Wrinkle in Time on Picture Book Report. I remember the book fondly, and I rather like the cartoony style used here.
- Shane Black of Lethal Weapon fame will be writing and directing a Doc Savage movie. I'll admit I don't know a lot about Doc Savage, but I'm intrigued anyway.
- Lots of photos of great cosplay at a recent French convention. (Via)
- Push director Paul McGuigan is working on a British television fantasy series with Grant Morrison that will star Stephen Fry. Holy crap! More details from McGuigan: "It's seven episodes. It takes place over seven days around an event that happens in Scotland. It's a modern take on an old fable or fairy story. If you know Grant's work you might have an idea of what it will be like. It's like Twin Peaks meets Brigadoon!" I thought I was pretty familiar with Grant's work, but I have no idea what he's talking about. The point is, it sounds awesome.
- Remember that movie I posted about a while back called Dragon Fire where Danny Glover plays a version of Captain Ahab who hunts dragons? Here's a behind-the-scenes clip! It looks far more terrible than I imagined!
- I never thought I'd say this, but those are some cool teapots.
- Bruce Willis spilled the beans on a couple of possible upcoming projects recently. First of all, M. Night Shyamalan had apparently always planned Unbreakable as a trilogy, with the second movie being a big fight between Willis and Jackson's characters - and Shyamalan is still talking about doing that movie. I'd watch that! Also, Die Hard 5 sounds likely.
- The Onion imagines what Denmark tourism videos might look like if they were directed by Lars Von Trier. Hilarious and wrong.
- More pics of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter under construction. So exciting!!!
