Recyclotron |
by Fëanor |
Fëanor pours the entire internet into the Recyclotron, and only the best links come out the other end for you to enjoy.
- io9 made some pretty good picks for the best science fiction and fantasy comics of 2010.
- One of the more inventive and amusing year-end lists I've seen: the Onion A.V. Club takes a look back at the year in band names.
- Syfy made the fascinating and rather depressing decision to just dump out the five remaining episodes of Caprica all at once last night and be done with it. The Onion A.V. Club reviews them here so you don't even have to watch them!
- Interestingly, despite claims that the internet would kill it, TV was apparently still going strong in 2010, with more Americans watching it than ever.
- A series of Street Fighter/Tron mashups. Nice!
- Dude built his own lightsaber, modeled after Luke's own homemade Jedi weapon from Return of the Jedi. Impressive. Most impressive.
- Pretty amusing Star Trek educational film on the subject of dealing with anger.
- A look at what's coming to BBC One in 2011. An especially tease-y teaser for an American like me, but still, we're bound to see some of this stuff over here eventually.
- Some cute plush monsters available on Etsy.
- Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter-inspired T-shirts.
- Super Punch at last reveals the winner of its latest art contest.
- Yeah, okay, the women laughing alone with salad thing is pretty funny. (Via)
- I meant to post these Dumbledore paintings before, because they are awesome, but I don't think I did, so here they are.
- NASA and the Science & Entertainment Exchange have compiled lists of the most realistic and most unrealistic sci-fi films of all time.
