That movie meme I've been meaning to do, via dje2004:- Total number of films I own on DVD/video:

Probably Clash of the Titans.

Attack of the Clones
- Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me:
- Star Wars - The first, the original, the gateway drug. An obvious but necessary item on the list.
- Vertigo - One of the true high points of film as art. A movie in the form of a nightmarish spiral about sexual obsession made by a man obsessed with sex and movies.
- Citizen Kane - I needed an Orson Welles film on here, and this is the default one. I could have picked Touch of Evil, but either one is a masterful film by a man who seems to have been born a master of the art.
- Casablanca - One of the most perfect films I've ever seen. Excellent in every respect, especially dialogue. Poppy and I tend to watch it at least once a year.
- Andrei Rublev - Andrei Tarkovsky's meditation on the agony and the ecstasy of art and/or religion--really, art as religion. Not exactly a first date movie, but definitely one you must see and mull over deeply, some rainy afternoon.
