at least my mind has a sense of humor |

So there was this book that was assigned to my first-year self in a college psych class, and I remembered it be very useful, so I decided a while back to track it down. I've been trying to find it on and off for a few years, but the search was complicated by the fact that I could not remember the name of the book, nor the author. I couldn't even remember the name of the professor who assigned it. Needless to say my searching was usually pretty half-hearted. Yesterday though something inspired me. I was determined to find this damn book. After much searching I tracked down the professor, then tracked down his web directory, then tracked down an old syllabus. And there it was! Named and cited on the very first line of the syllabus! I felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment, and a feeling that, hey, I can be a librarian. I can find stuff, even when I can't remember the details. I felt very good, even better when I found a copy in the library. It was a small success, but I'll take what I can get.
Oh, the book? It's here. Swear to God. Somewhere a cognitive psychologist is laughing... |
