- Video game stamps! Awesome! I wish we had them here; sadly, they're only in France. Although some quick internet research did turn up this, which is apparently a stamp commemorating the '80s.
- It's always a disorienting and strangely wonderful experience when I find myself agreeing with a Republican. Well, it happened again.
- News on the Star Trek front: Brannon Braga, producer and writer for the various shows and movies for many a year now, is leaving the franchise. Considering how Trek has been flying into the toilet at warp speed the past decade or so, I think it's probably good news that this guy is gone. Meanwhile, Shatner is talking about writing novels about a young Kirk and Spock and pitching them to Paramount as the basis for a new series. Would it be called Jim Henson's Star Trek Babies? Yeah, can't say that idea excites me very much. What we need is talented people taking the franchise in a new and interesting direction. Give it to J. Michael Straczynski, I say.
- I posted the other day that the Superman Returns trailer is going to be running in front of prints of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, but according to ComicBookMovie.com (via The Movie Blog), it actually may not be showing with every copy of the movie. Bummer! Luckily, it will be available for viewing on the internet as of Thursday at 9PM. Exactly where on the internet, no one seems to say, but that's okay; with Google all things are possible.
- The Harry Potter Automatic News Aggregator (via Cinematical) has JPGs of the iTunes Celebrity Playlists for Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. I'm particularly impressed by Radcliffe's picks; he seems to be a man after my own heart, with a taste for the odd and interesting indie rock stuff. He's even got the Pixies' "Gouge Away" on there! Rock!
Grint's stuff I'm not so excited about, although it is really funny to think of Ron head-banging to Dr. Dre.
