  • Luc Besson news is all over the place lately, it seems like! He's got a new movie called Angel-A coming out, and now the trailer is available (just go down to the bottom of that page and click a size). Of course, the film is in French, and the trailer has no subtitles, so it's a little difficult to figure out the details of the plot, but it looks like it may in fact be the romantic comedy Besson claimed it would be, despite what Cinematical says. There's a guy, there's a girl, wackiness ensues; that's what a romantic comedy is, right? Anyway, the flick looks...interesting. And it's in black and white, which you've got to respect.

  • Speaking of guys who are turning up everywhere, it's Jason Statham! He's in an upcoming movie called Crank, which, according to co-star Amy Smart (she's his girlfriend; well, whatever), is like Speed, except Jason Statham is the bus! (To quote "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," "The bus is Dracula!") Apparently, he's been injected with some kind of poison and he has to keep his adrenaline up in order to stay alive. Keeping your adrenaline up for that long is pretty hard, though, so he has to keep doing all kinds of ridiculous and horrible things. Sounds like super fun!

  • Aerenchyma emailed me this one: apparently there's yet another damning Downing Street memo. How come the Brits have all the really juicy stuff? Anyways, it's sounding like Blair had to talk Bush down from targeting Al Jazeera, which, contrary to what you might have heard from the White House/Fox News, is actually a news station, and not a terrorist mouthpiece.

Do I believe it? Well, it sounds believable, given what we already know about this administration. Also, why would the British government threaten legal action on newspapers that publish details of the leaked document if it weren't authentic?

Am I shocked and/or outraged? Not really. Not anymore. I'm pretty much just like, yeah, that sounds about right. Whatever.

    Sigh.

  • Matt Damon makes a joke about George Clooney grabbing his ass, and Cinematical turns it into an entire article. That's good writing. Slash fiction authors can begin working on this theme right...about...now.

  • It's list time again, folks: Every Christmas Movie Ever.
