- There's a Brady Bunch Kung Fu video game available for those of you with Sprint cell phones. Sadly, I'm not with Sprint, but apparently it's a fun game. And really, how could it not be?
- Pretty funny article by Joss Whedon on the future of TV, via Backwards City.
- Jay Is Games, which is a great blog on "casual gaming" (comprising games, usually made with Flash, that you can play online and pick up and put down easily - well, supposedly), has put out a Best of 2005 Top 20 list. I haven't had a chance to check out all 20, but I was definitely a fan of Kingdom of Loathing for a while, and Deanimator is pretty cool. I'm not a huge fan of the Grow games (too random), or The Dark Complex (too difficult; besides, I don't like time-sucking puzzles of this type), but I hear great things about Samorost 2, and Spybot sounds pretty neat.
- The new Blu-Ray format is shaping up quite nicely, if this rumor is true: supposedly Japan and other East Asian countries will have the same region encoding as the US, and there will also be a region code that is playable anywhere. This will make getting import games a much more attractive proposition, although there is still the language barrier issue...
- Joystiq has posted a link to the Top 10 Free Time Wasting Sites on the Net on About.com. Like I don't already waste enough time on the web! Damn you, Joystiq!
- What's your favorite Zelda game? Joystiq wants to know. After some consideration, I went with A Link to the Past, but not everyone agrees; according to the poll results, Ocarina of Time is far and away the favorite right now.
- Turns out that rumor about Spielberg doing a Mary Poppins remake was, blessedly, just a rumor. A false rumor. Full of lies. Hideous lies.
