Brunchicles, Volume Three |
by Fëanor |
- Ron Moore (creator of the new "Battlestar Galactica" series) has revealed his top five sci-fi books, and Backwards City has the list. For your convenience, I'll reprint it here:
- Stranger in a Strange Land
- Foundation (the whole trilogy, I guess?)
- Dune
- Dragonflight
- I Have No Mouth & I Must Scream
I've only read #2 and #3, but I would probably put them in my top five, too. I suspect I would dislike #5, because it was written by Harlan Ellison, who has great story ideas but writes terribly in my opinion. Also, he's a dick.
- Dude, a Lord of the Rings videogame RPG called LotR: The White Council?? Sign me up! I can't wait.
- The very amusing teaser trailer for Clerks 2 is now available. Go and load it up. I am pleased and excited. (Via The Movie Blog)
- My score on EgoSurf, which does a deep search to calculate how cool you are. Well, sort of. It's more like how widespread the combination of a particular search term and a particular domain name are. Go check it out. (Via Download Squad)
- Hey, thanks to Digg, I now know that you can download videos off of Google Video in many formats, including the Video iPod format. Sweet!
Of course, you're supposed to have to pay to download certain videos. But as soon as somebody comes up with a pay system, somebody else comes up with a way to hack it.
- Oops. Turns out those Nintendo Revolution details in that magazine that I posted about were still just speculation. D'oh. I guess we'll just have to wait. Damn you and your secrets, Nintendo!!
