Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass - finished! And thoroughly enjoyed. Yes, extremely corny in bits (especially the love story bits), but still a very enjoyable story, very interesting characters. It feels very mythical and powerful. It's this huge overarching epic story that extends far beyond its own boundaries. I like stories like that.

House of Leaves - begun! And so far thoroughly enjoyed as well. I think I already know pretty much the whole story after reading the introduction and the first chapter, but maybe I'm giving the guy too little credit. We'll see. Regardless, I'm relishing it very much so far. Love the premise, the language, the details, the crazy footnotes. Soon, I'm told, it will go totally insane, so I'm looking forward to that.

PS2 - purchased! As I thought I might, I totally caved, just like...a cave with very poor structural integrity...and purchased the system at the FYE in the Gallery. It'll end up being $100 after the mail-in rebate, so it's all good. I then proceeded to visit every game store in the Gallery to get myself memory cards, Guitar Hero (got the last guitar at GameStop, and met Zoe in the process; she apparently lives in the store. But I kid Zoe), and Katamari Damacy (which I was surprised to discover no one recognized the name of, and almost nobody had a copy of, despite the fact that it's famous amongst my friends and on the internet, and therefore famous across the entire world, as far as I'm concerned). I am the latest adopter of late adopters ever, but finally I have crossed over to the dark side. Time to start building my library...

Guitar Hero - is me! Seriously, I rocked the house last night on that game. Admittedly I was only playing the early easy songs on the easiest level, but still. I beat the first two venues on career mode without playing less than a 5 star performance, or hitting less than 96% of the notes, and I hit 100% of the notes for "I Wanna Be Sedated." I apparently caused a series of riots at both venues. Word to your mutha.

UPDATE:
"Lost" finale - watched! I should have mentioned this earlier. Yes, you are no longer in imminent danger of having your brains eaten. It was a crazy finale with lots of crazy shit going down, just like you might expect. Don't have much to say about it, except...damn.
