-The iPod earbuds could easily double as grappling hooks. Those things catch on to everything and hold on for dear life. Bastards.
-I like the band America. I like a number of their songs very much. But their lyrics are often quite infuriating. There'll be a couple of lines that not only make sense, but actually sound pretty profound, and then suddenly they'll come out with something like, "the tropic of Sir Galahad," and you'll be like, "WTF?! Lay off the 'shrooms, America!" (I was channeling Cyn there, btw.)
-Margot & the Nuclear So and So's - an indie band I've read about here and there, and finally downloaded some stuff by just the other day - are pretty good; I kind of like them; but they don't sound at all like I thought they would. Admittedly, I based my feelings on how they should sound entirely on their name, but still. I expected indie punk, and instead I get indie pop! Very disorienting.
-The Arctic Monkeys rock. They rock hard. |
