same old, same old |

Pretty much got my head down this week, trying to get over this persistent cold/sickness thing, and trying to get all my work done for my two jobs. I managed to make it out to movie night for the first time in a while this week, which was nice. I hope to make it next week, as well, with a pick of my own.
I'm still working on Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. It's quite clever and fun, with a good level of difficulty right off the bat - not too hard, but not too easy. They're also being smarter about using the two screens of the DS than I at first thought they were going to be. It's actually quite ingenious; you'll have to move along with one pair of Mario brothers on one screen to activate something, and then react with the other pair of brothers on the other screen.
"Lost" and "Battlestar" are back, at the same time! Argh! I've got the latest "Lost" on the 'pod; will have to remember to tape tonight's "BG," or maybe give up and start getting that for the 'pod, too.
I went past a line at the GameStop this morning for pre-ordering the Nintendo Wii, and very nearly added myself onto the end of it. But I needed to get to work, and I didn't really feel like standing around waiting for an hour and a half. Anyway, I hear there's going to be plenty of Wiis available when it does finally launch, so I think on that golden day, I'll just go out to a random store and try to buy one on the spot.
Looking forward to a quiet evening at home tonight, and then a day of manly activities with my brother tomorrow. Sunday is a bit up in the air as yet, but might involve more fun activities of a perhaps less manly nature.
And now I think it's time for me to go pick up my lunch across the street. Vaya con dios, brah!*
*We watched Point Break at movie night this week. It was totally tubular! My favorite part was when Keanu screamed "Fucker!" and jumped out of a plane without a parachute in order to go get Patrick Swayze. He wanted him so bad it was like acid in his mouth. Heh. Oh, and there was also Gary Busey! And that guy from Red Hot Chili Peppers! And a surprising amount of violence! Awesome. |
